Helena Laboratories are proud to announce the availability of it's much anticipated Point of Care Coagulation Monitoring System. This card based microsample test system is based around a state of the art battery powered analyser featuring an intuitive touch screen interface, built in barcode reader and easy to use reagents built into a credit card sized test.

Currently there are three tests available. The c-ACT test is to determine the Activated Clotting Time during cardiac surgery. The c-ACT-LR which is a low range test, is ideally suited for measuring the Activated Clotting Time in Interventional Cardiology procedures, ECMO, CVVH, Ultrafiltration, Dialysis and Neuroradiology. The PT-WB test is for fast and effective monitoring of warfarin therapy. The results of this test can be expressed as the Prothrombin Time in seconds or INR or both.

The Cascade Abrazo Analyser will be the operating platform for a number of additional haemostasis tests which are currently under development. 

The Cascade Abrazo Analyser comes with an optional docking station to facilitate easier charging of the battery and convenient data transfer to a PC or external information system. Administrative software is also available to allow easier manipulation and analysis of data.

A full range of electronic and biological controls are available to enable users to comply with local regulation governing quality control of Point of Care equipment.
