Helena Laboratories was founded in 1967 by Tipton Golias and today is still a family run company. Helena diversified into Point of Care testing in 2000 with the aquisition of Array Medical. This aquisition included the Actalyke ACT Test System and Plateletworks Point of Care platelet function testing.

GTA has been exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for Helena Point of Care since 2001.
